Your round, read by your sleep.

Heat, cold, repeat. Your body decides how hot. Set four numbers or connect a wearable and get tonight's dose: temperature, rounds, plunge or rinse. Works at any sauna.

Connect

Tap the P and set four numbers yourself. They stay on this phone. Or connect a wearable: one tap for WHOOP, OAuth, read-only. Proto reads sleep need, sleep taken, recovery and strain, and nothing else. Connected data is processed on Proto's servers, encrypted in transit and at rest. The sauna sees a temperature band, not your data.

Deficit is need minus taken. Most adults need 7 to 9 hours.
60%yellow
How ready you feel. Under 34 red, 34 to 66 yellow, 67 and up green.

Light 0 to 9. Moderate 10 to 13. High 14 and up. Most days land near 11.

Verdict

Sleep deficit is sleep you needed minus sleep you got. Proto turns that number, plus recovery and strain, into a band on the dial: 140 to 210°F, 185 on an average night, how many rounds, plunge or rinse. Outdoor weather changes the cold side, not the heat: on a deep-cold night the walk outside is your plunge. A hot day takes 5 to 10°F off the band.

The dial

Five bands. The rules are public, so you can read your own night before you connect anything.

Strain override

160 to 170°F Long and low

A band, not a thermostat. Weather: the room sets how hot you get, not the sky. Feels-like 80°F or above takes 5°F off the band, 90°F or above takes 10°F off, you arrive pre-loaded. Feels-like 20°F or below makes the plunge optional, 0°F or below replaces it with two minutes outside. Cold air is a cold exposure. Staff can tell you which room runs closest to your band tonight. Steam or infrared room: the numbers run lower, the position holds. Low, mid, standard or high in that room, same rounds. Water on the stones is the dose dial. Ladle to adjust, not to prove anything. This is guidance, not a prescription. Posted guidelines and staff instructions win. If you feel off, stop. Proto is not a medical device.

Exit now: goosebumps in the heat, nausea or confusion, dizzy when you stand, gasping in the cold, a headache. Sit down first, water with sodium, done for the night.

Your sauna

This page is a template. Any sauna, studio, club or brand can run it under its own name.

Try it with your name Add ?brand=Your+Sauna to the URL. The header, kicker and footer pick it up. Nothing else changes.
Your weather Add ?loc=lat, lon,City to pin your door. Without it the page reads the weather where the phone is: the browser's location if allowed, otherwise a city-level guess with a one-tap fix. Nothing is stored. ?wx=0 turns weather off.
Your domain yoursauna.com/sauna or a QR card at the front desk. Same engine, your name, your room list, your checkout.
No wearable Guests tap the P and set four numbers. Same band, nothing leaves their phone. A front desk can text the link.
What you get A band per guest, never the data. Rules stay public. Members hold their own records.
